A Message From Classmate Jackie Farrell

A message from Classmate Jack Farrell & The Golfing Committee

Happy New Year! 2016 has arrived and our milestone Newton High School Class of 1966 50th Reunion is only nine short months away. Your Reunion Committee has been hard at work organizing what will undoubtedly be our most fun filled, poignant and memorable reunion ever. As a part of the weekend’s activities, Barbara Burman McIntosh, Steve Shulman and myself have been assigned the pleasant task of organizing an 18 hole golf outing to be held at the Leo J. Martin Memorial Golf Course (commonly known as “Riverside”) on the morning of Saturday, September 24, 2016.

The goal of the outing is to create a low key, stress free opportunity for “old” friends to spend some time together enjoying Mother Nature while trying to remember the details or flat out telling lies about the “good old days” (it is a reunion after all). Following play, we will assemble at a local pub for more b.s., nourishment and awards. All of this as a warmup for the “Main Event” that evening.

Sign up for the event has just commenced and we are pleased to announce that we have received early commitments from Bill Martin, Nancy 'Wilbar' Whooley, Pat 'Schiavone' MacDonald, Dana Flynn, Gretchen 'Ernst' Leone, Kevin McArdle, Paul Sweeney, Sheldon Stone, Steve Goldberg, Tony DeSimone and my brother Tom (as well as Steve Shulman and yours truly).

WE WANT YOU!
BRING YOUR SPOUSE/GUEST IF YOU HAVE (WANT) TO! WHATEVER IT TAKES!

Your participation in this event will greatly enhance its success and ensure the creation of many lifelong memories (which understandably doesn’t mean as much as it once did). Also, if you have suggestions about other classmates who might like to participate, we welcome the opportunity to reach out to them personally. Please provide us with their contact information. To keep informed about the many reunion activities being planned for the reunion, please consult our class site at www.nhs66.org. The Reunion Committee will be mailing a complete informational brochure about the reunion in early February. Please assist the Committee with its planning by signing up for the various activities at your earliest possible opportunity.

We all look forward to hearing from you and to seeing you all in September!
