"Kickoff Cocktails" @ Indigo Hotel- All are invited

Kicking off our wonderful weekend will be an informal get together at the Indigo Hotel, just up the road from the Riverside MBTA station. You do not need to be staying at the Indigo to attend this get together, it is open to all classmates and spouses (significant others). It is a cash bar on the lower level, and with some luck in the weather department, we will gather inside & outside around the pool around 5:30 PM - look for a familiar face! There is plenty of parking in the hotel garage underneath the building. If you are planning to attend please let us know on the registration form. The hotel is ADA compliant.

The BIG 50 Reunion/NHS Class of 1966

Brae Burn Country Club is ADA compliant and a large enough facility to make us all comfortable while we eat, dance and visit as long as we don't wear denim. There are two ways to register, either with your form on the invitation that was mailed in February 2016 or on line at this site which will take credit cards. Registering early will help us in our planning.  We strongly recommend you register by August 24th. We are not encouraging registration at the door, there will be a limited number accepted at the door and the fee will be $100.00, cash only.  Eventually the menu will be posted on this site, everyone says their food is outstanding! If you know you are coming, now is the time to get your hotel reservation or connect with a friend. The Newton area is busy in the fall with Parent's Weekend at local colleges. Golf Outing @ Leo J. Martin Memorial Golf Course • Pre register

The Golf Outing is being organized by Barbara "Burman" McIntosh, Jack Farrell and Steve Shulman. Golfers should be at the course at least 45 minutes prior to the 8:30AM start (not 9:00 AM as originally published) and the dress code will be orange & black! You must register for this event by Friday September 2, 2016.  It will be a great opportunity to spend more time with classmates. You can create your own foursome or be placed in one by the organizers.  The cost is $50.00 per person and includes a cart and prizes.  For more information (click on name) contact Barbara.

LOOKING FOR SPONSORS: If you or your company would like to sponsor a tee please (click on name) contact Barbara. A sponsorship costs $100.00. Sponsors will be honored at the outing, on the website a poster at Brae Burn event and in the reunion program.  You are encouraged to sponsor by August 21,2016 because it takes time for your sign to be made and sent. Please include a note stating the extra $100.00 is for sponsorship of golf, golf payment (if playing golf) andyour sponsorship check payable to "NHS Class of 1966" toJean McCaughey P.O. Box 601 Warren MA. 01083. You may want to consider sponsorships in memory of a NHS teacher, coach, classmate who passed away or family member. Boston Duck Tours • Pre register

The Boston Duck Tours run about 80 minutes, one hour on land and twenty minutes on water. They leave from The Shops at the Prudential Center at 53 Huntington Ave. This will be a 10:00 AM Saturday morning reunion activity. Each duck boat holds 36 people and this is guaranteed to be fun and informative. The cost is $33.00 per person (senior rate, tax included).  Please check it off and pay when you register for the reunion. Charles Riverboat Company Tour • Pre register

A 70 minute tour starting at Lechmere Canal Park at The Cambridge Side Galleria Mall will be fun.  The captain and crew will both entertain and educate while pointing out the historic and cultural sights of Boston and Cambridge. This will be a morning reunion activity starting at 10:00 AM  and possibly you will want to do your own thing in Boston for lunch. Each boat holds 85 people and the cost is $17.00 per person (senior rate, tax included). NHS Tour and Newtonville Lunch Crawl • Pre register

Are you interested in seeing the new NHS? This is your opportunity to be led by a couple of seniors from the NHS leadership class. It will be a 60 - 90 minute tour through the building starting at 11:00 AM. After the morning tour there will be a progressive lunch planned. The "Crawl" through downtown Newtonville will stop at Brewers Coalition (Silhouette circa.'66) for appetizers. The next stop will be Rox's Diner (Newton Deli circa.'66) for lunch and then a stop at Cabots for dessert! Should be lots of fun to see how things have changed over the past 50 years and have a chance to visit and reminisce with classmates. The only cost to this activity will be your food.  Please sign up when you register for the reunion, so we will be better prepared to let the school and restaurants know how many are coming. Newton Cycling With Marlene "Sockol" Mills

Join classmate Marlene "Sockol" Mills on a cycle around Newton! Marlene is an experienced cyclist and has been a lead for trips in California, where she lives. It will be a 20 mile ride with lunch in the middle. Anyone who signs up for this ride should have experience road cycling and be comfortable riding where there will be varying amounts of automobile traffic. There will be two rides planned. Saturday's trip will start at 10:30 AM and finish up by 2:00 PM. Friday's trip will start around 10:00 AM but maybe a shorter ride and different route from the Saturday trip. Sign up will be at registration time, size of group will be limited by Marlene. Deadline August 24, 2016. The only expense will be for lunch and if you need to rent a bike.

Breakfast and Goodbyes @ Hotel Indigo - All are invited!

Anyone can join us for an informal breakfast at the Hotel Indigo starting around 9:30 AM on Sunday morning,

you do not need to be staying at the hotel.

The food will be at your expense, hugs are free and the hardest part comes when we all have to say goodbye!
